If you haven’t watched it already, you need to check out Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog. If you have watched Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, then you need to check out this video of Alan Tudyk interviewing Nathan Fillion (that I found at DoctorHorrible.net). Oh yeah, if you don’t know the connection between Alan Tudyk interviewing Nathan Fillion, you need to check out Firefly and Serenity.

Like many people, I wasn’t able to make it to Comic-Con this year, so here are two ways to follow Comic-Con live via social media.
There is a Comic-Con room on Friendfeed. Friendfeed is a social media aggregator that lets you combine your blog, twitter, digs and 40 other social media sites. A room is a feed that allows a group of people to share posts on a more specific topic.
You can search TwitterMap for “comic con”. TwitterMap is a live twitter search engine that lets you search the latest public tweets from twitter for a word or phrase. My first Twitter experience was following the San Francisco torch relay via TwitterMap and CNN. Twitter had more up to date and accurate information than CNN because there were a couple dozen people tweeting along the route (some to protest and some just to watch). There were even a few people tweeting while stuck in traffic due to the streets being blocked along the alternate route.
If you have any others let me know by leaving a coment.

I recently watched the documentary Flock of Dodos. It is an interesting and mostly unbiased discussion of intelligent design and evolution. The documentary shows several of the arguments for and against intelligent design as well as the key people behind most of the battles to teach intelligent design in schools.
There is another documentary, Expelled, that presents the issue from the viewpoint of those who believe in intelligent design. I haven’t watched it yet, so I won’t comment on it.
One of the key scenes in Flock of Dodos is the discussion of intelligent design by a group of evolutionists over a game of poker. The discussion shows why so many scientists have such a hard time convincing some people. The intelligent design promoters repeat a simple and consistent message (life is too complex to be the result of random mutation), while the evolutionist scientists come across as aloof and unwilling to give simple answers.
There are several arguments to teach intelligent design in science classes alongside evolution. Read more…

If you enjoy words you’ll enjoy Wordle. If you don’t enjoy words, why are you reading this? Wordle creates tag clouds from whatever text you give it then lets you adjust the color, font and maximum number of words.
I put in the complete text of “Romeo and Juliete” and got this.
